Ok, the first thing I did was do a rough fit of all the guitar kit parts.  I figured I would cut the headstock out and get the body components fitted.  Turns out that the Guitarfetish (GF from now on) pick guard didn’t have the holes drilled in the same place as the body so they didn’t line up.  That was no big deal, filling holes and redrilling is a pretty easy operation. If you’ve got a hole you need to redrill, fill the hole with glue then take a matchstick or splinter that fits the hole tightly and jam it in.  When it dries, snap or cut off the matchstick and sand it flush then redrill.

If you use the standard guitar kit parts then you won’t need to do some of these steps.  Because I decided to use different guitar parts I had to do some modification.  Most of the GF guitar parts fit very closely, but not perfectly.  I didn’t to need to do too much modification of the guitar in this step but there’s still more to come.  That’s all of the Saga guitar kit for now.
