Every Christmas songfight does the annual “Gift of Music” where whoever choses to participate picks three songs, then is paired up with another participant.  Each “gifter” picks one of the songs from the “giftees” list, and does a cover version of it.  Frankie Big Face covered “Sisters of Mercy” by Leonard Cohen for me, (thanks again FBF) and I covered Turpentine for Drë.  It’s a great song, and I really felt like I couldn’t improve on it, so I kind of just did it straight, with a little different instrumentation.  Anyway, Drë liked it, and even made a video for it, which is cool.
