Guitar Chords For Beginners | The Eight Most Common Guitar Keys
Apr 4th, 2009 | By Project-D | Category: Guitar ChordsHere’s a handy chart with most of the guitar keys you’re likely to encounter as a beginner guitar player. I’ve included a couple of the keys that use flats, and I’ve put the Roman numerals above them so you can figure out your I IV V’s in whatever key you’re using. So lets say you want to find a I IV V in the key of G, start on the line beginning with “G” then find I - G, IV - C, and V - D. Pretty easy.
| I | ii | iii | IV | V | vi | viio |
| A | Bm | C#m | D | E | F#m | G#dim |
| Bb | Cm | Dm | Eb | F | Gm | Adim |
| B | C#m | D#m | E | F# | G#m | A#dim |
| C | Dm | Em | F | G | Am | Bdim |
| D | Em | F#m | G | A | Bm | C#dim |
| E | F#m | G#m | A | B | C#m | D#dim |
| F | Gm | Am | Bb | C | Dm | Edim |
| G | Am | Bm | C | D | Em | F#dim |
